I didn't want to post an edited version of a my Daisy photo below but I have had such good comments on it on Flickr that I figured I had to.
As you will see if you visit the Flickr photo page I have added a texture from Bea Pierce - aka NiniaLif. I placed the texture on top of the daisy and did a blend (can't remember which one - I sense an edit coming) and this has given the shot a grungy look.
The textures are made by Bea herself - "For those curious as to how they are made, I make them by creating a charcoal drawing/rubbing first on different paper stocks. I photograph or scan these, using the rough edges of the paper as the black frames for the texture. Then I overlay subtle texture photographs from my stock library (my own work) until I have a texture base I'm happy with. Sometimes I add a colour layer as well. "

Hi Tim....Thanks so much for your message on my blog this morning. I'm enjoying going through your images. I can see why you had such a good response to this one. I love the feel of this image combined with the texture.
